Mark your calendars for August 16–20, 2012, because that’s when ASG Conference is
coming to Houston!

We’re looking forward to having you, and we plan to make this an event to remember! Most of the
conference information will be posted on ASG.org, but if
we think of something you might find helpful, we’ll post it here.

Members
We have a lot to do to get ready! Below are some ways you can help now, plus we will need your hands-on assistance
immediately before and during the conference. If you can spare the time (clear your schedule, ask for
vacation days, etc), we’d really appreciate it.
Sewing Kitchen Items
We will be selling kitchen items alongside our chapter cookbook, and we need your help making those items. There are
no restrictions or requirements—any kitchen-related accessory is fine. We have some patterns to get you started,
but you are welcome to choose something else.
Volunteering for the Fashion Show
Loretta Phipps, Fashion Show Coordinator, needs volunteers to assist with the production of the show.
All volunteers will be recognized in the show program and onstage, and all may participate in the fashion show.
Front Entry Greeters ~ Six (6)
The greeters will work before the show, handing out programs to attendees before the doors open.
These ladies will also be required to wear some really wild hats (to be provided). All will have reserved
seating for the show.
Backstage Assistants for Models ~ Three (3)
The assistants will work during the show, keeping the models moving in the right order and helping
with anything else that’s needed. One assistant will be placed at the stairs leading up
to the stage.
