  2. http://www.ianr.unl.edu/pubs/textiles/  : An encyclopedia of information about fabric usage, application, and care; from the folks at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln

  1. http://annthegran.com :  My absolute favorite for free embroidery designs to download. Also has great links to other web sites, and instruction and other info, and free software available.  I particularly like the thread charts that show you the numbers for different colors across thread brands.
  2. http://www.nancysnotions.com :  Nancy’s on-line catalog.  I particularly like the sewing library with free instructions for making all sorts of projects.  A new one is a walker caddy that I am going to make for my mother who uses a walker to get around.

  4. http://www.qheartland.com/ :  Web site from the Quilting from the Heartland show.  You can actually watch their videos over the net on how to make their designs.  Check out the projects.  This months project is Patriotic Coasters.

  1. The Fabric Club : I like this website to order fabric.  They have a large inventory, but shipping is a little slow.   If you don't need the fabric in a hurry you can get great prices.
  2. Clotilde  : the website has everything from the catalog.
  3. Atlanta Thread. : A great place to find supplies for the sewing room.  They carry extra large cutting mats.  You can find many other sewing supplies.
  4. Rowena Irons : Rowena's site has a wonderful comparison chart.  If you are not sure which model to purchase, the chart will list the features of each model in an easy format to read.
