Meeting Descriptions

Neighborhood Groups (NG) meet monthly. As a member of the American Sewing Guild, you may attend any NG of your choosing. You may attend more than one group also! However, you may only attend two meetings if you are not an ASG member. Becoming a member will give you the chance to get involved. If you are interested in joining the American Sewing Guild, click here to join.

Adventures in Wearable Art--We are a very creative group, with a wide range of skills and interests. Our main focus is on wearable garments and we do a lot of fitting. Generally we have a program on the first Monday meeting where a new technique is shown. Then the rest of the day can be spent working on that or whatever the individual people want to work on. The third Monday is a general sewing day.

Kingwood Sewing Guild--Our group has a challenge every month. Members can bring anything from something old that the group hasn't seen, something new, or even a craft project. EX: One month we had presser feet and a sample of what it looked like or something made from it. No one person has to give a program and everyone can be involved at each meeting.

Rose-Rich Sew-N-Sews--Our group meets the 2nd Friday of the month at the Rosenberg Civic Center in Rosenberg. We mainly have hands-on sewing projects in our meetings. Pot luck lunches are frequent!

Sassy Sewing Ladies

Seams Possible--A group of like minded sewers who use of fabric, threads, yarns, beads, paints, and even paper to express their creativity. Seams are possible but not mandatory. Please come and join our fun group as we explore new and creative ways to express your sewing point of view.

Sew Fitting--Our Neighborhood Group consists of very creative ladies who love to sew mainly garments. Our group works on ASG community service projects. Some of our ladies also participate in community service outside of ASG for churches, hospitals, etc. on their own time. We do sew-ins for those interested. We have scheduled making dress forms, tissue fitting, welt pockets, sewing techniques, how to use different presser feet and notions among many other interesting topics. We welcome visitors and encourage new members.

Sew Sew Gang

Sewing Friends Wearables--Sewing Friends Wearables in the Woodlands is a multi-talented and productive group. They love garment sewing of all kinds, plus bags, embroidery and much more. As the name implies, this is a wearable group, sometimes wearable art and sometimes not. We have fun and enjoy the fellowship and support of this wonderful group.

Sewing Inside the Loop--We love visitors! We have lots of fun - sharing tips, learning new things, sewing for charity, etc.! We meet the second Saturday of each month at the Eleanor Freed Library. Please stop on by, we would love to see you there!

Wild Women Stitchers--An enthusiastic, energetic, and fun loving group of sewers who enjoy sharing their love of sewing with others. The group is very open to learning new techniques and ideas about sewing from others, and is very supportive of others contributions. It is fun to work on a project as a group, and make outstanding contributions to community service.

You Sew Girl--We are a very creative group, with a wide range of skills and interests.  Our past programs include hand embroidery, heirloom baby bonnets, scissors care and maintenance,  how to use a ruffler foot, and curvy blocks, just to name a few.  We do a lot of sewing get togethers outside of our regular meeting time where we work on community service projects, or just have a quick sewing retreat.  The YOU SEW GIRL's work very hard at having fun and learning from each other.
